The first process for receiving housing assistance is to complete an application for admission and provide the required information for eligibility verification into the program. >

Applicants will be required to provide social security cards and proof of birth for all household members. Income verification for wages, social security, TANF, child support, pension, all cash income earned, etc. is required for all household members regardless of age. All assets such as checking, savings, investments, real estate, etc. will need to be verified. LHA will also review rental history and criminal history of all adult household members. >

Lavonia Housing Authority has adopted residency preferences that provide eligible applicants certain bonus points which determine their placement on the waiting list. All preferences must be verified for authenticity and accuracy.>

Once the initial online application is completed, you will be contacted by a Property Manager to schedule an appointment to bring in necessary verifications and sign applicable release forms. All adult members (18 years and older) must attend the application appointment and sign all applicable forms.>

Lavonia Housing Authority has instituted a smoke-free policy. This policy prohibits the use of tobacco products and other smoke related products, including but not limited to vapes, in all dwelling units and non-dwelling units, indoor common areas, administrative offices, maintenance offices and dwelling unit entrances and exits or within 15 feet of any of the above. This policy is strictly enforced.
